Are you looking to give a space a new look or have you got a new space that needs to be made comfortable and integrated into the rest of your home? The interior decorating service can help you do just that.
Yes, interior decorating. It is not the painting/papering aspect nor is it the knocking down walls part, below is a quick guide as to how interior decorating differs from other interiors services and to help you decide if it is the right service for you.
An interior designer goes beyond the aesthetics, it is more about space planning. How a space is used, how best to use it, changes to improve the functionality.
An iterior designer can draw up the floorplans to picking out the decorative ornaments.
An interior decorator is all about the look. The focus is on bringing the visual elements together and creating the overall look. From colour schemes, to wall decorations to furniture layout.
If you have your heart set on getting that pinterest-esque look, but don’t know how, get an interior decorator – me!
An interior stylist tends to predominantly work on editorial projects for visual media such as TV and magazines, though there are those who do residential work too.
A stylist can help with styling for an event or a photo shoot for example.
As an interior decorator I work with people who believe in the importance of your surroundings and its benefits in supporting your lifestyle and wellbeing. Those with the budget but without either the time, vision or creativity to make the space they crave a reality.
Below you will find the different ways in which you can utilise the interior decorating service. You can mix and match according to your requirements or opt for the full service so you can focus on other things.
This service is delivered virtually.
1. Email your requirements with a picture of the space.
2. An electronic design idea is sent back to you.
Best for those stuck for ideas or unable to visualise their space.
I visit your home for a consultation up to 90 minutes.
A mood board and electronic room design are then produced along with an item list and where to purchase. As well as ideas for any existing items where applicable.
Whether you just don’t have the time or just don’t enjoy shopping, I am able to source items for you.
It could be specific items that you want sourced at the best price or those from my recommendations.
Having a change doesn’t have to mean changing everything.
A lot of items can be given a new lease of life and made to fit new styles simply with some reworking/repurposing.
There are numerous key elements in making a scheme work and how it is all set up and styled is one of them. If you just need help with that, I can do that for you.
With Sought and Styled, you have the option to do as much or as little as you can/want. If you want a new look without the hassle, let me sort it out for you.
